A Magento 2 theme shop and bespoke warehouse integration for a plus size clothing brand
EmilyPlus are a new plus size clothing brand and their team have over 100 years of experience in the clothing industry between them. The group noticed a gap in the market and formed EmilyPlus with the aim of creating high quality garments with an exceptional fit in mind for plus size women.
EmilyPlus came to us looking for a big website launch campaign and decided to take the bold decision to give their first 3,500 customers 100% of their money back for orders up to a value of £70.
This was based on the condition that the customer ‘likes’ the EmilyPlus Facebook page and shares what they have bought on at least two other forms of social media. The plan after the first initial 3,500 orders was then to give 50% discount and then 25% discount following that. This was all aimed at bringing in lots of traffic to the site and creating a buzz around the new brand from the outset.
EmilyPlus had already purchased an ‘off the shelf’ Magento 2 theme, and had undertaken a small amount of development, only to hit a few hurdles along the way. We took over from their former developers and compared their theme to a standard install of Magento 2 to check for any imperfections or core edits to the code, that could cause issues during the build. After this had been completed, we moved on to designing a homepage and product page for the new site as well as what EmilyPlus called their ‘crazy promotion’ pages. This included a forms module and redemption section in order to allow customers to apply for their refunds in return for sharing their products on social media.
The EmilyPlus build also includes a loyalty points module, meaning that customers can earn points based on how much they spend on the site. These loyalty points can be redeemed against products purchased online.
We have also integrated the EmilyPlus website with their warehouse system, using an order export module, tracking module and custom carrier trackers module. This works by exporting new order data from the Magento 2 site to the warehouse via a CSV file, which is then used to process the shipments. The updated order data is then imported back into Magento 2 via another CSV to create the shipments and send confirmation emails to their customers. This import of shipment data back into the Magento 2 site also includes tracking information that is passed onto customers in the shipment notification email. This means the customers can track their orders all the way through the process.
"Absolute have been pleasure to work with. From our initial conversation they helped to provide guidance on selecting a platform to meet our needs. We chose to go with Shopify and the team at Absolute worked collaboratively with us all the way through to create a tailored site, ensuring that our brand TruYu is shown in the best possible way, creating a great experience for consumers."
