Haddon House gets a make-over
| Posted by Clare.Rose
With great business growth over recent years it’s only right that our headquarters matches our development. We’ve been around since 1993 and Haddon House has been our home for the last 15 years.
In that time we’ve effected many changes and upgrades to our lovely HQ, whilst establishing ourselves as one of the leading Magento ecommerce development and branding agencies in Nottinghamshire, but recently we decided to give the building the TLC it really deserves.
The 150 year old building has a wealth of period features and is steeped in history. It was once the home of Fred Gibson-Garton, the inventor of HP sauce (Nottingham’s finest export!), survived a World War II bombing and held back a major flood in 1947. It also shares architectural connections with Haddon Hall in Derbyshire, one of the finest castles in England.
Scaffolding was recently erected and it’s been all systems go ever since! As well as rejuvenating the stonework and renovating and painting all of the external woodwork, the focus of the work includes the demolition and rebuild of the first floor conservatory to create a new staff room and kitchen.
In addition to this, we’ve planned a top to bottom internal redecoration, a sprinkling of new furniture and a new signage system. Work is on-going and we’re hoping to be completed before December, ready to begin the New Year!
So if you happen to be passing Absolute on your travels and wonder why the building’s covered head to toe in scaffolding, wonder no more!
